Three ways to get services: traditional services, participant-directed services and the Self-Determination Program. People and families can learn all three at choices.sdta-np.com
DAN is a program, free to people and their unpaid supports, that helps Californians with developmental disabilities and their families understand and use their Regional Center services. It explains rights under the Lanterman Act in plain language, prepares people for their IPP meeting, decodes denial notices and the deadlines attached to them, and drafts the emails families need to send to their service coordinator. It works in English and Spanish, needs no account, stores nothing about the person, and is open at any hour.
